Quantum Measurements Appointment to Southeast U.S.

San Diego, CA, March 14, 2011 – Ectron proudly announces the appointment of Quantum Measurements Corporation as its exclusive sales representative for the Southeastern U.S. region. Quantum Measurements replaces GenTek in the same territory that includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. After several weeks of deliberation, consultation, and negotiation, Quantum Measurements was selected by CEO Earl Cunningham and his senior staff as the best “fit” with Ectron. Quantum Measurements best complements Ectron’s core competency and portfolio of products that include precision instrumentation amplifiers and thermocouple simulator-calibrators, including the newly introduced Model 1140A.

About this choice, Ectron CEO Earl Cunningham noted that “While there were many fine companies to choose from, we felt that Quantum Measurements had the best organization to help us expand into the Southeastern marketplace. They also have a long history of sensor sales that make it a natural fit with our products. We are delighted to have them aboard to represent us in the Southeastern U.S.”

Quantum Measurement’s President, Myles Friedland, stated that “Quantum Measurements has been representing sensors and instrumentation for predictive maintenance, depth, level, temperature, and pressure measurement, as well as vibration monitoring for a very long time. The addition of Ectron’s instrumentation amplifiers and thermocouple simulator-calibrators will be a strong complement to the existing lines we now represent on the line-card. We are looking forward to growing the market for Ecton’s portfolio of products throughout the Southeastern territory.”
