IIISAMEX Appointment to Mexico

San Diego, CA, May 5, 2008 – Ectron proudly announces the appointment of Ingenieria e Instrumentación Internacional, S.A. de C.V. (IIISAMEX) as the company’s exclusive international sales representative for Mexico. IIISAMEX was selected from a large group of highly esteemed companies drawn from the large commercial centers of Mexico, such as Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Mexico City. After several weeks of deliberation, consultation and negotiation, IIISAMEX was selected by CEO Earl Cunningham and his senior staff as the best “fit” with Ectron. IIISAMEX best complements Ectron’s core competency and portfolio of products that include precision instrumentation amplifiers and thermocouple simulator-calibrators, including the newly introduced Model 1140A.

About this choice, Ectron CEO Earl Cunningham noted that “While there were many fine companies to choose from, we felt that IIISAMEX had the best organization to help us expand into the Mexican marketplace. They also have a long history of sensor sales that make it a natural fit with our products. We are delighted to have them aboard to launch our sales in Mexico.”

Ing. Miguel F. Esquivel Martin, Director of IIISAMEX, stated that “IIISAMEX has been representing both sensor and test instrumentation lines such as Acromag, Ametek Power Instruments, Gulton Statham, Hoppecke, Sensotec, and Shinkawa for a long time. The addition of Ectron’s instrumentation amplifiers and thermocouple simulator-calibrators will be a strong complement to the existing lines now represented by IIISAMEX. We are looking forward to growing the market for Ecton’s products in all of Mexico.”

Ectron’s strategy for developing the Mexican market was aided by the efforts of the U.S. Commerce Department’s Commercial Services branch. Using the Gold Key Service, Michael M. Fontes, Ectron’s Sales and Marketing Manager was able to meet with and evaluate 20 companies in Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Mexico City. Based on these collective interviews and assessments, Mr. Fontes was able to get a comprehensive view of the available potential partners for Ectron in Mexico.

Mr. Fontes noted that “I am especially indebted to Mr. Arturro Dessommes, the Commercial Specialist in Mexico City for his tireless efforts, and outstanding support with all the companies visited. He and his Trade Aide, Beatriz Avila, provided us with the essential experience and keen assessments of the competing companies for Ectron’s launch efforts.
